Kenny Cianchette
As a proud lifelong Mainer, Kenny embodies the spirit associated with that title. He is known for being a leader, hardworking, kind, helpful, creative, resilient, and resourceful. Whether it is with his creation of Erik’s Church Bar and Grill in Windham, developer of the AGC’s 2014 Build Maine Project of the Year award, two-time State champion football coach, or his affiliation with other community-centric organizations, his spirit inspires and leads others in the face of challenges. He considers most people he meets a friend, and his family always takes priority.
Kenny believes in the traditions that made Maine the best State in the Union. Those traits include teamwork, hard work, innovation, and commitment. He aims to restore that culture by leading by example in Augusta. He prides himself on being a Mainer, so let’s send him to the Senate so he can work towards making Maine the way life should be.
Our campaign believes in traditional financing.
If an individual has proven themselves to their
community, then funding to support their
candidacy should follow. Maine Clean Elections
creates a significant disadvantage to a traditional candidate, so your support will be both, used wisely and as a means of sending a message to Augusta. Your contribution will tell them that Mainers are ready for new leadership based on our shared traditions.
Volunteer With The Campaign
Whether you can contribute financially, or with time, your assistance and support are needed and appreciated. In order to win this election, it will take a lot of effort. Fortunately, we are assembling a team to spread the workload around. Kenny can’t do it alone. Our team is growing, and if you are willing to volunteer for the campaign, create an endorsement video, write a letter to the editor, or assist in a variety of other ways, your commitment will help get us the result we intend. If you can’t volunteer due to time constraints, your promotion of the campaign’s social media will go a long way to attracting more energy.
Kenny's Priorities
Prosperity
Mainers are struggling to keep things afloat. While our government boasts about the over-taxation of its people, working families are going into debt to maintain their lives. Meanwhile, our small businesses are scaling back or shutting down. These small businesses employ a large portion of our workforce, and the effects will be felt for years if left unchecked. With sound legislation that returns money and mitigates expenses to our hardest workers and job creators, the Maine economy can begin to compete for business once again.
Accountability
Our government must be accountable to its people. Many elected and unelected leaders in Augusta have acted for their own self-preservation by accommodating party and department interests. Our seniors can’t afford their independent lives, our veterans are being inadequately served, and, perhaps worst of all, our children are being lost to domestic situations that our government has already been made aware of. Our tax dollars aren’t the issue, it is a dereliction of responsibilities that needs reform. Fix broken systems, replace inoperable ones, and remove people who no longer work in the interest of the task at hand.
Maine Life
There are far too many issues in our State. From childbirth to daycare, to education, to workforce, and to retirement, there are very few successful programs run by the State. Most of our successful programs were born out of necessity and innovation by small schools, organizations, or groups, rather than government programs. We need to research the best ones, utilize the most beneficial elements, and deploy them on a larger scale. Our focus should be to create, develop the skill, promote workforce retention, and properly treat retired Mainers through all facets of their lives.
Environment
Our State’s beauty is unmatched. We must preserve its natural system, allow people to enjoy it responsibly, and embrace economic growth. Legislation that affects our environment must be carefully considered, and modified accordingly, to promote all three of those aspects. Projects have been put into action lately that have failed to embrace all of those standards simultaneously.
