Kenny Cianchette

As a proud lifelong Mainer, Kenny embodies the spirit associated with that title. He is known for being a leader, hardworking, kind, helpful, creative, resilient, and resourceful. Whether it is with his creation of Erik’s Church Bar and Grill in Windham, developer of the AGC’s 2014 Build Maine project of the year award, two-time State champion football coach, or his affiliation with any number of other productive contributions to our community, his spirit inspires and leads others in the face of challenges. He enjoys being a son, brother, and uncle above all else and is considered a friend by those who’ve met him.

Kenny believes in the traditions that made Maine the best State in the union which are teamwork, effort, innovation, and taking on challenges. Maine has, at one time, enjoyed a respectable government, and his aim is to restore that culture of working for Mainers, not parties. He prides himself on being a Mainer, so let’s send him to Augusta to help return us to having a State that touts being the way life should be.

Kenny believes that only individuals who

have proven themselves as leaders in their

community should run for political office.

Therefore, he believes that the best indicator of the ability to lead is by receiving support from the community through voluntary donations. Maine Clean Elections creates a significant disadvantage to a candidate for a traditional candidate, so your support through donations will be both cherished and a means of sending a message to Augusta. Your contribution will tell them that Mainers are ready for new leadership.

Volunteer With The Campaign

Whether you can donate financially, or with time, your assistance and support are needed and appreciated. In order to win this election, it will take a lot of effort. Fortunately, we are assembling a team to spread the workload around. Kenny can’t do it alone, so if you are willing and able to volunteer for the campaign, create an endorsement video, write a letter to the editor, or assist in a variety of other ways, your commitment will help get us the result we intend. If you can’t volunteer due to time constraints, your promotion of the campaign’s social media will go a long way to attracting more energy.

Kenny's Priorities

Prosperity

Mainers are struggling to keep their lives and businesses afloat. They are going into debt to provide for their basic needs as families. Our State government can, and should, be focused on policies to drive down the cost of living at home. Energy is the most influential cost in our lives, and so we should focus on clean, sustainable, abundant, and inexpensive energy utilizing the advanced technology we enjoy today. Also, we must cut the tax burden down on our working Mainers. These are attainable in the short term with proper leadership.

Accountability

Our government is, and must be, accountable to its people. Unfortunately, our government has been failing in far too many of its duties, particularly in protecting our most vulnerable populations such as our elderly and children. We are experiencing an exponential increase in the loss of life of children under the State’s supervision. Meanwhile, despite the fact that a majority of lawmakers support legislation for change, our unelected bureaucrats have strong-armed leadership in Augusta to protect their own. We need brave lawmakers to stand up for what is right, and hold our employees responsible for their derelictions. Our legislative branch is tasked with creating laws, not our departments.

Quality

Our future is always in the next generation’s hands. Our system of education is no longer compatible with the changing world. We need to be dynamic and innovative in our approach to education, empowering, rewarding, and investing in high-quality educators and programs, and preparing our young people to be experts in their respective fields. Training our youth in construction, fishing, farming, medical, and other fields, coupled with the pride of a Maine work ethic, will make a better future for all of us. However, to keep them here, once trained, requires that we focus on fostering their future economic prosperity.

Environment

Our State’s beauty is unmatched. We must preserve its natural system, allow people to enjoy it responsibly, and embrace economic growth. Legislation that affects our environment must be carefully considered, and modified accordingly, to promote all three of those aspects. Projects have been put into action lately that have failed to embrace all of those standards simultaneously, while the stubbornness of individuals has prevailed.
